Ballew Surety is located at 3802 Menchaca Road in the South Lamar corridor of Austin. We sit just south of Ben White Boulevard (Highway 290), making us easy to reach from all directions. Heading south on Menchaca Road from Ben White, you'll find us on the right-hand side, nestled in a stretch of small professional offices and local businesses.
When you come in to see us, you can expect a relaxed, professional setting, the kind of place where a handshake matters. Street parking is available along Menchaca Road, and the office is accessible during regular business hours, we recommend calling ahead or sending an email if you'd like to schedule an appointment.

Meet Our Austin Based Team
After graduating from The University of Texas in 1973, David spent 18 years as a commercial banker in Austin. Since 1991 David has concentrated exclusively on surety. David has worked with some of the same contractors for over 25 years and would be happy to provide references to show how Ballew Surety treats clients.
Born and raised in Austin, Brad began his career at Ballew Surety in 2013 after receiving a degree from The University of Texas. Focused solely on surety, Brad specializes in helping his clients achieve their bonding goals. As an active member of the AGC, CTSA, NASBP, CFMA, and ACEA, Brad continues to educate himself on the ever-changing construction industry.
David Fernea has been a surety bond agent since 1995. He specializes in providing construction bonds to contractors throughout the state of Texas. David is from Austin and graduated from the University of Texas. He and his wife Kim have two sons, Weston and Ethan.
Lawrence Olsen has spent the last 36 years working closely with highway construction industry. He was executive vice president of the Texas Good Roads Association for 27 years and served as public affairs director for the AGC of Texas for nine years. He and his wife Carolyn have been married 46 years and have two sons and three grandchildren. They are members of the Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church.
Connie has 19 years experience as a Customer Service Representative and Bond Account Manager helping clients with all their Surety Bond needs for both contract and commercial bonds. Raised in Oregon, Connie has lived in Austin, Texas 20+ years. She is a devoted Mother and Grandmother who also enjoys her work.
After graduating from The University of Texas and raising four boys, Wendy decided it was time to start running Ballew Surety.
